Development Opportunities

We believe the heights that LBS will achieve would be determined by its people, which is why we do not hesitate to invest in and support the professional development of our people. By the nature of our business, we are a knowledge generation and executive education institution, which makes it very easy to groom our talents from within.

  • We enrol employees in our in-house seminars, management programmes, as well as academic programmes, depending on the competencies required for their job.
  • We encourage attendance at conferences outside the School and Nigeria to give them international exposure to best practices as it relates to their roles.
  • We support the career plans of our employees by partly sponsoring their educational programmes in recognised Nigerian universities through our Staff Education Support programme.
  • We run a mentoring programme which provides employees with the support and counselling required to build their careers both within and after leaving LBS.
  • Employees are given objective assessments during appraisals which are meant to be developmental rather than punitive. As much as possible, we try to drive an objective appraisal system to ensure a balance in staff assessment. One of these is the Appraisal Review Committee and bottom–top assessment where applicable.
  • We groom future leaders of the school by engaging them in career development opportunities such as project committees, job rotation and job enlargement programmes.
  • We also have a world-class library which our employees can use for their personal development.
