Monica Hemben Eimunjeze, an accomplished pharmacist, recently retired following an outstanding fourteen-year career at the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC). While at NAFDAC, she held key positions, such as director of Drug Registration and Regulatory Affairs and director of Drug Evaluation and Research.
Before joining the agency, she had an extensive career in the pharmaceutical industry, working in several capacities, including as Quality Manager and Regulatory Affairs Manager at Glaxo Nigeria Limited.
She is a proud alumna of the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where she earned her Bachelor of Pharmacy degree. She also holds a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) from Mercer University in Atlanta, Georgia, and a Master of Science (MSc) in Biotechnology, Innovation, and Regulatory Science from Purdue University in the USA.
After dedicating many years to a career in healthcare, Dr. Eimunjeze launched an initiative focused on wellness and self-care. This initiative aims to provide individuals with the tools and knowledge needed to manage their health and achieve positive results.
Monica’s expertise spans policy formulation, regulatory affairs, compliance, supply chain security, regulatory harmonisation, regulatory systems strengthening, and Quality Management System (QMS) implementation. She has actively contributed to transformative regulatory reform initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the regulatory framework in Nigeria.
She is currently involved in several consulting projects as Chief Executive Officer of DeeDoo Bio Plus Pharmacare Limited and Principal Consultant of Health Access Innovations Limited.
Monica has garnered numerous accolades and acknowledgements throughout her career, including prestigious awards from the Association of Lady Pharmacists and the Lagos and Benue state branches of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria. She is a Fellow of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria.
